đ Peer Review Process
The ANPA Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality and integrity through a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Under this system:
Authorsâ identities are concealed from reviewers
Reviewersâ identities remain confidential
Evaluations are conducted objectively and impartially
This process ensures fairness, transparency, and scholarly excellence in all published works.
đ Review Workflow
1ď¸âŁ Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo preliminary screening by the Editor-in-Chief (or designated Editorial Board member) to determine:
Alignment with the Journalâs scope and thematic focus
Compliance with submission and formatting requirements
Adherence to ethical and plagiarism policies
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be declined at this stage.
2ď¸âŁ Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant academic and professional expertise.
Reviewers assess submissions based on:
Originality and contribution to public administration and governance scholarship
Theoretical and policy relevance
Methodological rigor and analytical depth
Logical coherence and clarity of argument
Academic quality and citation integrity
3ď¸âŁ Reviewer Reports and Recommendations
Reviewers provide detailed, constructive feedback along with one of the following recommendations:
Accept
Minor Revisions
Major Revisions
Reject
Reviewer comments are forwarded to the corresponding author for necessary revisions.
4ď¸âŁ Revision and Resubmission
Authors are required to submit a revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe, clearly addressing all reviewer comments. A response document explaining how each concern was addressed must accompany the revised submission.
5ď¸âŁ Final Editorial Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection, taking into account:
Reviewersâ recommendations
Quality of revisions
Overall scholarly merit
The decision of the Editor-in-Chief is final.
Through this structured and impartial process, the ANPA Journal ensures that every published article meets rigorous academic, methodological, and ethical standards, contributing meaningfully to scholarship and practice in public administration and governance.
